On your first fun filled day, as we start touring down the exciting peninsula, we pass through Ensenada, on our way to Estero Beach RV/Hotel Resort. That evening you will have the opportunity to enjoy the sunset over the bay at the resorts' excellent bar & restaurant.

When you register to caravan with us you will be sent a detailed pre-departure package to assist you in planning your vacation. Our journey begins at the 5 Star, KOA RV Resort in Chula Vista, California, just south of San Diego. We will enjoy wine & cheese at our Pre-Departure meeting. At this meeting you will receive your Baja California Travel Club T-Shirt and trip log which outlines each day's travel in great detail. You can rest assured that our wagon mater team is "Baja-ready".
Day 3
As we start to travel into the mountains of the peninsula we will encounter all types of plant life, some of which grow only in Baja and no where else on earth. As we approach camp, approximately an altitude of 1,800 ft., we encounter the magnificent 'Rock and Cactus'garden of Baja. This is a spectacular array of large boulders and interesting cactus. Here we will settle in at an authentic, working Mexican ranch. This is a great place to explore the surrounding Rock and Cactus Garden. In the evening we will enjoy a true Mexican ranch dinner, prepared by the Doña of the ranch. This evening we will gather around the camp fire for stories and jokes.

Day 4
Now it is on to the 'company' town of Guerrero Negro, home of the world's largest 'sea-salt' manufacturing plant, and the famous Scammon's Lagoon (Ojo de Liebre). We will be staying in a RV park with full hook-ups. You will have the opportunity to drive to the estuary and abandoned light house for some world class bird watching. One of our clients identified over 100 types of birds on the Baja. This evening we will experience one of Baja's premier sea food restaurants, at the Malarrimo. We have found this restaurant to have the Baja's BEST seafood dinners.

Day 5(only during gray whale migration season Jan. thru Mar.).
Today we will have the opportunity to go whale watching with the best and most experienced tour company on the Baja, 'Eco Tours by Malarrimo'.This is whale watching at it's best. Don't miss it.

Days 9 & 10
Now it is on to the historic town of Loreto with it's famous mission
mixed in with boutique shops on a beautiful walking mall. Don't miss the museums which are located in the town square and next door to the mission.
This will be 2 nights with full hook-ups at a RV park on the water and a nice swimming pool available for the guests. For those who want to experience a great off-road excursion we will journey 17 miles, on a dirt road, up Sierra de la Gigante to the tranquil town of San Javier. Here we will visit Baja's most famous mission.

Day 7 & 8
After our camp in the first of the desert oasis, located in San Ignacio we will continue on to the fabled Sea of Cortez. We will drive through the city of Santa Roasalia, with it's abandoned copper mine. It is also the location of one of the ferry stops to the mainland.
Can it get any better?.....How about pulling your rig 10 feet from the water's edge and settling in for 2days of 'rest and relaxation'?!
You will be camping on the beautiful Sea of Cortez. Kayaking, snorkeling, swimming or just beach-combing, the time here is yours to enjoy.
The evenings can be spent enjoying sunset cocktails on the beach and dinner get togethers with your fellow campers. Oh....by the way......the sun RISES over the bay are FANTASTIC!!!

Day 11
Today we will leave the Sea of Cortez and climb up to the plateau of Baja's agricultural region. This is a good town to stock up on supplies and get a glimpse of the authentic Vaqueros (cowboys) of Baja and get rested for tomorrows journey to our final camp.

Day 12
Now we proceed on south to Los Barriles, where we will camp on another beautiful beach on the Sea of Cortez. Now that you are an experienced Baja traveler, it is time to team up with the new friends you have made, get settled into the camp ground where you have made your long-term reservations, and really enjoy all that southern Baja has to offer before meeting up for your escorted trip back to the U.S.A.
This day's travel is approximately 5 hrs. About 195 miles.
Our journey continues on through the mountains and vast agricultural region of northern Baja to an RV park on the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Enjoy relaxing and smelling the salt air or take an evening sunset stroll while beach combing to your hearts content. This evening we will enjoy 'pot-luck'
dinner and our staff will prepare and serve AUTHENTIC Margaritas.
This day's travel is approximately 3 hours. About 80 miles.
This is a very unique and historical town with the most photographed mission and traditional plaza with enormous fichus trees. Here you will be able to feel the flavor of an authentic Mexican pueblo, complete with vendors, seating areas and food stands. There is also a museum depicting the famous cave paintings at San Francisco de la Sierra. Reservations can be made here for an additional whale watching tour you can experience on your return trip if you choose to adventure out on your own.
